At long last....

Been away for a while.  Things in the  world of high school golf have been busy.  The boys have played in three tournaments and had several nine hole matches after school.  Each has brought successes and opportunity to learn and grow.  This week is our last conference match and sectional play of which we had one qualifier...Cam.  Our last event as a team will be conference tournament on May 9.  Here's some pics from the last two weeks. The second picture is #18 at our home course, Columbia.  It's a par 3.  The fourth picture is what most players' golf ball looked like if it was in the rough at District play....they don't call it "the rough" for nothing!!!!  Last pic...just a great bunch of guys who happen to play good golf!!!  : )

Mark Wade Memorial Tournament hosted by Lindbergh High School

Today we attended the 1st annual Mark Wade Memorial Golf Tournament at Aberdeen Golf Course. Coach Wade was a longtime golf coach at Parkway South High School for both boys and girls. He was a motivator, advocate for golf, a dedicated math teacher and family man. He died suddenly last year of a massive heart attack. A scholarship fund has been established in his memory and this tournament will help fund it. We had a good day and I was very proud of these youn men. Here's a few pictures from the day.

A Day In The Life.....

A successful day for OHS Tiger golf. The varsity defeats Fox High School in a conference match and the junior varsity defeats Northwest. Preparing for our first tournament of the season coming up this Monday. Congrats to Ryan for his first medalist honor of the season....more to come
